Pepsi Re-design


In 1992 Pepsi re-designed the Pepsi logo. As part of the awareness campaign we ran an advert featuring supermodel Cindy Crawford. “Just one look” went on to be voted the best advert of all time.

Role: Sole Trade Marketing Executive for Grocery Multiples

Trade Execution

My role was to project manage the re-launch campaign into top end Grocery accounts Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury, Somerfield, Safeway, Morrisons, Budgens, and the Co-ops. The role was operational within a multi-task deadline driven environment.

  • Assisted the National Account Managers in the presentation of the campaign to their accounts
  • Organised the development and print of all POS material including on-pack design
    • Shelf talkers
    • Posters
    • Free standing shelf displays
    • Brochure and flyer development
    • 8 for 6 promotional packs
  • Logistical distribution of all POS material to national and regional head offices
  • Organised events such as in-store Pepsi tastings and Road Shows


  • The campaign re-launched the Pepsi brand gaining half a percent market share against all other Cola’s.

Celebrity endorsement was extensively used with 2 additional Superstars Rod Stewart and Tina Turner providing the memorable advert “It takes two Baby” followed by the Michael Jackson campaign to co-incide with the launch of his new album Dangerous.
